Our eyes are the window to the world and likewise, our eyes can be a window into the health of our body, Our eyes are therefore not just the window to our soul. Our eyes offer a glimpse into our health and we must go through an Iridology eye examination and consultation at least once a year or more frequently to monitor our progress if we are unwell.
Iridology is the study of the patterns and colours on the iris of the eye. This enables a person’s overall health condition to be determined. It is a non-invasive method of viewing the iris to determine existing or potential health issues. Iridologists use iridology charts to make these observations. Iridology Charts have been created after observation of a variety of irises over the years. Each marking and zone in the iris represents a different aspect or organ of the human body. Changes in our eyes can signal vision problems, stress, high blood pressure, Vitamin C and Iron deficiency, Digestive issues and even Diabetes. Watch our short video to learn more.
There are many forms of Diabetes. The main one being Type 2, where this condition causes too much sugar in your blood. An Iridology check up can detect this condition where there is a dark ring on the outer edge of the pupil. The Iridology check up cannot confirm for sure if it is Diabetes, however, when these rings are spotted, further blood test would be highly recommended to confirm the Iridology findings and severity of Diabetes or Prediabetes.
Iridology can show History of Illnesses and ongoing weaknesses in the body. It some cases, it can also show scarring from surgery on specific organs. Most of these problems can be spotted with the naked eye, assuming you know what to look for and it is more visible in lighter coloured irises such as blue or hazel eyes.
The following are some diseases or illnesses that can be detected using Iridology:
This is iron deficiency where your body does not produce enough red blood cells because the level of iron in your blood is too low. This is detected from a blue haze on the outer layer of the iris, at the meeting of the iris and the fundus. It is also called a venous sign and can be seen in all colour irises.
Unusual lacunas or tear shaped markings in the iris or unusual dark spots are usually warning signs of cancer in specific organs. Iridologists will refer to the Iridology Chart to pinpont which organ is affected and recommend further tests specific for cancer to confirm the Iridology findings. Normally, when these potential cancer signs are spotted, the cancer would be at the very early stages, prior to any symptoms, so detecting these warning signals early can give the patient a better chance of survival and recovery.
Most people do not hydrate adequately every day. They may prefer to drink tea and coffee, containing caffeine which is a diuretic, resulting in an increase in frequency of urination. They may also choose to consume alchohol which is harmful to the liver and kidneys when drunk in excess. A lacuna or tear shaped mark will show up in the kidney area of the iris when the body or rather kidneys are dehydrated.
Digestive Issues and Constipation
A different shade or colour, normally yellow or orange just outside the pupil area indicates toxicity in the bowels, Digestive Issues and Constipation. These issues are very common especially in this day and age where most people are leading a more stressful and fast paced lifestyle, eating on the go and eating to satisfy hunger, taste and pleasure rather that eating to consciously nourish their bodies.
Residue from intake of chemical medical drugs or other drugs will often show up in specific areas of the eye, indicating the drug has still not broken down completely and affecting specific organs. These residue normally come up as dark spots in specific areas of the eye. It could be from intake of chemical medication such as paracetamol or vaccinations.
High Blood Pressure or Hypertension
A grey or opaque ring around the iris may indicate increased blood pressure, demonstrated by a slow metabolism. If left untreated, this could lead to heart attacks, heart disease and strokes. It is therefore important to have an eye examination or Iridology consultation at least once a year or more frequently if you have history or high blood pressure in your family.
High Cholesterol and Arteriosclerosis
This is indicated by a white ring circling the iris. It is called a corneal arcus. This is normally caused by poor food intake, such as fast foods and foods deep fried in poor quality oils. It is an indication of high cholesterol and triglycerides, which could result in increased risk of a stroke or heart attack.
Liver Disease or Damage
The effects of excessive alchohol consumption or poor intake of nutritious food can cause liver disease or damage to the liver. Negative emotions such as anger, depression and frustration can also affect the liver. It is therefore important to have an Iridology check up as often, these negative emotions may be internal and not expressed by the person. Early detection can prevent self harm or in more severe cases, suicide.
This weakness in the lymphatic area is common amongst those with blue irises. A poorly working lymphatic system causes tissues to become swollen with fluid. This is called lymphedema and results in swelling in your arms or legs. Too many toxins, poor meal intake and overexposure to environmental toxins can overload the lymphatic system.
An enlarged pupil is an indication of the person being deficient in certain minerals, in particular Magnesium. Symptoms would include muscle spasms, twitches and cramps, mental health conditions, irregular heartbeat and constipation.
An Iridology check up can detect breathing patterns and lung weaknesses. Grey spots indicate shallow breathing and insufficient oxygen feeding specific organs.
Stress can manifest in many ways, one of which is an eye twitch. It can be more annoying and disturbing rather than concerning. An Iridologist can see stress appearing in rings toward the edge of the iris like rings inside a tree trunk. One ring means the body is 20% stressed. The deeper set the rings are, the longer the stress has been affecting the body and the more effort it will take to improve it.
